Thank you for visiting the Alabama Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify Employer
Agent Service. The Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer & Citizen Protection Act (Act
2011-535), signed by Governor Robert Bentley, requires beginning April 1, 2012,
all employers with the State of Alabama verify the legal presence of their employees.
Employers may use the federal e-Verify website by
clicking here. Alabama businesses with 25 or fewer employees may elect to
use our E-Verify Employer Agent Service.
To enroll in the Alabama E-Verify Employer Agent Service, please click on create an account then complete the online application. After creating an account, businesses will receive an email containing a E-Verify Memorandum of Understanding for Employers using a E-Verify Agent. This form must be signed and returned to our office for further processing. You will be notified by email once your account has been approved. Please note that this process can take several weeks. If your business elects to use Alabama’s E-Verify Employer Agent Service, please contact our office with any questions.
